These Are The Best Sushi Restaurants In Seychelles
From The Authors: Gaelle was born and raised in the Seychelles while Viktor has been living here for 1+ year. Unlike many other travel blogs, we actually have first-hand knowledge and experience of the places we write about. If you have any questions, we respond quickly to comments!
The Seychelles, despite being an archipelago and thus surrounded by plenty of fish, has only recently started embracing sushi.
In fact, the first dedicated sushi restaurant was only opened back in 2018. Luckily, a few more have emerged since – and we’ll cover the best three on the island.
The following list is limited to Mahé. We haven’t tried or heard of any must-try sushi spots on Praslin or La Digue but will update this list the moment we do.
Club Liberté
Club Liberté is our favorite sushi spot in all of the Seychelles. It’s therefore little surprising that it was crowned as one of our 11 favorite restaurants on Mahé.
What is surprising, though, is the fact that Club Liberté is primarily known as a casino – it just happens to have delicious sushi as well.
Insider tip: on Tuesday’s sushi is discounted by 15%!
Our personal favorites include the Tuna Nigiri and Sashimi, Crispy Prawn Maki Rolls, Spicy Tuna Maki Rolls, as well as the Prawns Tempura Maki Rolls.
And the drinks are certainly nothing to scoff at, either.

Guests are not obligated to gamble but we can say from personal experience that it adds to the fun.
That said, the ongoing gambling doesn’t take away from the overall dining experience. After all, the ambiance of the place makes it a great spot for a birthday party, date night, and whatever special occasion you want to celebrate.
You can also pre-order for takeaways or book a table by calling +248 260 5462 or sending a WhatsApp message to the same message.
Parking in front of the casino is plentiful and free. Simply follow the directions on Google Maps.
Bravo

Even though Bravo, located in the heart of Eden Island, is offering to all types of cuisines, its sushi remains one of the best on the island.
What’s particularly great about Bravo are the generous portions – not necessarily just for the sushi but many of the other dishes they serve.

Bravo as well as Eden Island as a whole also make for a great hangout spot, both during the day time for lunch as well as at night when the yachts light up.
The sushi itself is actually made by Sey Sushi Bar, which is directly integrated into Bravo, so you can also order when entering the restaurant.
You can also book a table online (although it’s rarely booked out, especially during the week) or call +248 434 6020 if you want to order takeaway.
Parking is available but only free for the first 30 minutes (paid in cash). The parking house is next to Bravo, so just follow the directions.
Coral Asia
Coral Asia is one of the first dedicated sushi restaurants on the island – and remains a staple for locals and tourists alike.
Our personal favorites include the Earth and Sea rolls as well as the Tuna and Salmon Nigiri. The Chicken Katsu Curry is also incredible, especially the fried chicken portion of the dish.
Insider tip: residents can get 15% off for orders above SCR 1,000
What stands out about Coral Asia are its comparatively cheap prices, even without the mentioned resident discount. The sushi is about 15% cheaper compared to the other two options listed here.
Some of the reviews indicate that service can be slow. However, we never had any issues thus far and were always served within minutes.
Coral Asia is part of the Coral Strand hotel, so parking on the premises is available and free. Just let the security guide know that you’re visiting the restaurant whose location you can find here.
